Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday, June 27, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with a 2:00 PM graveside service at Memory Hill Gardens in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carpenter was born November 27, 1927 in Truman TN to the late Jessie and Versie Fay Dugan Halfacre. She was a homemaker and member of First Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her two sons, Tommy Carpenter (Brenda) of Bartlett, TN; and Mike Carpenter (Theresa) of Horn Lake, MS; sisters, Goldie Halfacre Cooke of Collierville, TN; Helen Halfacre Cecil of Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Shelly, Jim Elsey, Roy Simmons, Glen Dye, Wayne Kittrell, Richard Patton and Donald Skipper.
