Video Memorial TributeVera Cook Whitworth, 75, passed away Wednesday morning, December 19, 2012 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS. A funeral service for Mrs. Whitworth will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, 12/21/12, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Aven officiating. Interment will follow in Curtis Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, 12/20/12 at Wells Funeral Home. Vera was born on August 11, 1937 in Sarah, MS to Homer Lee & Ida Mae Walters Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of Locke Station Baptist Church. To cherish her memory she leaves her 3 daughters, Linda G. White of Sardis, Carol Cook of Marks and Debra Goodwin of Courtland; 2 sons, Tim Whitworth and Danny Whitworth, both of Batesville; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carlyle Whitworth and one daughter, Lisa Ann Whitworth. Those serving as pallbearers will be: Dalton Cook, Michael Cook, Braden Gentry, Austin Whitworth, Nick Whitworth, Josh Whitworth and Pete White.
