Terry Don File

Terry Don File, age 65, died on Monday afternoon, April 1, 2013, while in ICU at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North MS, Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 305 Keating Rd, Batesville. Dr. Paul Middleton will officiate the service and burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Pope, MS. The File family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home. Terry was born on February 29, 1948 to Keith Dale & Wiline Bolton File in Pope, Mississippi. Mr. File graduated from South Panola High School in 1966 and continued his education at Northwest Jr. College where he received an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering. In February of 2010, Terry retired from the engineering department of The Mississippi Dept. of Transportation in Batesville.  Terry was one of the founding members of the Pope Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a retired Mississippi National Guardsman having served from 1969-1993. As a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Terry served actively in the Puppet and Drama Ministry.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as raising cattle on his family farm.To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 45 years, Eileen Nelson File of Pope, one daughter, Tina File, of Southaven and a son, Keith File and his wife Amy of Hernando, MS, along with 2 brothers, Edward File (Sandra) of Atlanta, GA and Danny "Pop" File (Sid) of Pope, MS and 2 Grandchildren, Mary Maci File & Jack File.
