David W. Brister

David W. Brister, age 58, passed away, October 15, 2013, at his home in Batesville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 with Reverend Terrell McGregor officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Courtland, MS. The Brister family will receive friends from 12:00 until service time on Thursday in Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Brister was born to Donald C. & Georgia "Fay" White Brister on July 23, 1955, in Memphis, TN. Mr. David was a member of Tocowa Baptist Church and the Civitan Club of Batesville. He activly served with the KAIROS Prison Ministry in Parchman. David was a Machine Operator for MDOT and also with the Corps of Engineers Contractors. In addition to being an equipment operator, Mr. Brister worked as a Route Manager for Lance, Inc.. His survivors include his wife of 35 years, Judy Ellen Flanigan Brister, daughter: Megan Clements of Batesville, sons: Jason Alan Brister of Senatobia, MS and Michael Paul Brister of Panama City, Florida, along with 5 grandchildren and one great grandson. Besides his parents, David was preceded by one daughter: Jennifer Ellen Brister and his brother: Donald Marshall Brister.
