Joseph Woodard

Joseph Harvey Woodard, age 82, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at  his Residence in Drummonds, Tennessee. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Rev. Doug Pepper officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park, Batesville, MS. Joseph was born on June 6, 1927 in Memphis, TN to Joseph and Alchie  Dees Woodard. Mr. Woodard was retired manager of the 4-H Club Camp on Sardis Lake. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. His survivors include: Wife: Catherine Woodard- Drummonds, TN; Son: Joseph Michael Woodard- Drummonds, Tn.; 2 Brothers: W.C. Woodard- Batesville, Ms. & R.C. Woodard- Batesville, Ms. 6 Grandchildren: : Kelly Self, Jay Belvin, Chuck Gabbard, Wendy Davidson, Tina Turosky and Pam Smith. & 17 Great-Grandchildren. Mr. Woodard was preceeded in death by 2 daughters: Catherine Diane Belvin & Patsy Gabbard  Musclewhite.; 2 grandchildren: Kenny Belvin &  Tracie Pratt. Visitation will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home.
