Anita Carol Camp

Anita Carol Camp, age 73, passed away Wednesday evening, August 2, 2026, at her home in Pope, MS.

At this time, there will be no services scheduled.

Anita was born on September 6, 1952, in Water Valley, Mississippi to the late Arvis Earl Camp and Betty Rodgers Zenor.

Throughout her life, Anita worked as a factory worker and cashier, but she was most proud of being a caregiver for many people. Caring for others was a meaningful part of who she was, and it reflected the generosity and compassion she carried through her life.

Anita enjoyed flowers and took great pleasure in working in her flower garden. She loved the outdoors, whether she was fishing or riding the lake bottom. Above all else, she loved her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Davis of Courtland, MS; her daughter Margaret Russell of Sarah, MS, and her son Richard Webb of Pope, MS; her sisters, Becky Camp of Carriere, MS, Janet McCullar of Batesville, MS, and Jeannie Nichols of Courtland, MS; and her brothers, Buddy Camp of Courtland, MS, Lee Earl Camp of Courtland, MS, Johnny Camp of Water Valley, MS, and Norris Crawford Alexander, Jr. of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She will be remembered with love by her family and by all who knew her.

Anita was preceded in death by her longtime loving companion, Jerry Dover, father, Arvis Earl Camp; her mother, Betty Rodgers Zenor; and her brother, Tommy Camp.

Her life was marked by devotion to family, enjoyment of the simple beauty of the outdoors, and a caring spirit that touched many people. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
