Ruth Jaudon Crosswhite

Ruth Jaudon Crosswhite, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished member of the Batesville community, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, at her home in Batesville, Mississippi. She was born on July 1, 1945, in the same State, to the late Clifton Jaudon and Gertrude Darby Jaudon and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, MS with the family receiving friends at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be held there at the Church Cemetery.

Throughout her years, Ruth embraced her role as the center of her family’s universe. She created a welcoming home filled with warmth and laughter, where all felt valued and cared for. Her legacy will endure through the cherished memories that those close to her will carry in their hearts.

Ruth was a woman whose kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on family and friends alike. She devoted her life to her loved ones, offering support, encouragement, and love in every season. Her devotion to her family was strong, always placing their wellbeing above all else. She was a devoted member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school in the past. Her devotion to her church family was evident and unwavering.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Roger Crosswhite of Batesville, whose partnership and companionship were a testament to enduring commitment. She was a treasured mother to Cathy Crosswhite Tidwell (Galen) and Cindy Crosswhite Palmertree (Jeff) both of Batesville. Her daughters will forever remember her as their steadfast supporter, guiding light, and the foundation upon which many treasured family traditions were built. Ruth was also the proudest grandmother to four grandchildren, who she thought just hung the moon; Brittany Willis Snider (Steve) Pope , Will Palmertree (Batesville), Justin Palmertree (Batesville), and Lauren Tidwell (Utah). She was blessed with eight great grandchildren; Blake and Landon Willis of Pope, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Levi Palmertree of Batesville, Presley, Morgan and Addie Palmertree of Courtland, as well as two step granddaughters, Sydney and Taylor Snider (Water Valley), whom she equally adored.

Ruth Crosswhite’s life was a reflection of compassion, strength, faith, and dedication. The love she shared, and the values she taught her family, remain as her enduring legacy. Her presence will be greatly missed, but the profound impact she had on those around her will never be forgotten.
