Barbara Ann Eidson Brown, age 77, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the North MS Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi.
Barbara's memory will be honored at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Crowder Baptist Church in Crowder, Mississippi.
Barbara was born on July 14, 1948, in the Locke Station Community in Mississippi to the late Donald Assa Brown, Sr. and Eula Inez Hall Brown. She dedicated much of her life to her career as a hair stylist, beginning her journey in the heart of Tennessee before ultimately making the significant move to Dallas, Texas. There, she honed her skills and provided her clients with exceptional care, finishing out her career in the art of cosmetology with grace and professionalism.
In addition to her vibrant career, Barbara was proud to have served her country in the United States Marine Corps for four years, an experience that mirrored her strong character and commitment to serving others. Her military service was a reflection of her discipline and dedication.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barbara had a passion for sewing that showcased her creativity and attention to detail. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and family, living a life rich in love and connection. Barbara was a woman of devout Christian faith, which guided her actions and shaped her relationships.
The family she leaves behind to cherish her legacy include her three sons, Michael Eidson of Batesville, MS, Donald Brown of Abilene, TX, and Jeffrey Brown of Batesville, MS; her two siblings, Ray Eidson of Ruidoso, NM, and Bonnie Moore of Senatobia, MS; her five grandchildren, Susan Bell, Gabriel Brown, Tyson Brown, Samuel Brown, and Holton Brown; and one great grandson, Samuel Levi Brown.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brown, Sr.; and four siblings, Betty Mills, Nita Holcomb, Clara Bell, and James Eidson.
