Betty J. Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, of Batesville, Mississippi, passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 62.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering and celebrating Betty’s life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Born on July 24, 1963, Betty was the cherished daughter of the late Eugene Osborn and Shelby Roden Osborn. She grew up with a keen sense of kindness and compassion, qualities that defined her relationships and life’s journey.
Betty shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Henry Johnson, creating a home filled with warmth and gentle humor. Together, they raised four children: two daughters, Lisa Nolan and Katie Ford, and two sons, Henry Johnson, Jr. and Danny Johnson, all of Batesville. Her love for her family radiated in all she did, and she was a constant presence at every meaningful moment in their lives.
As a grandmother to twelve adoring grandchildren and a great-grandmother to six precious great-grandchildren, Betty’s life was a testament to the strength and joy found in family bonds. She was also a loyal sister to Angela Jaco, and their sibling bond was a source of delight and comfort.
Betty’s life was shaped by the influence of her parents, Eugene and Shelby, whose memories she always carried in her heart.
Those who knew Betty remember her for her gentle nature, her steadfast love, and the quiet strength. She was a source of encouragement to both family and friends, always ready with a kind word or a comforting gesture. Her legacy is one of togetherness, compassion, and enduring love—a legacy that continues in the lives of all who loved her.
