Betty Faye Raines, a dedicated member of her community, passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 66 in Pope, Mississippi. Born on January 20, 1959, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Betty was a woman known for her hardworking spirit and loving nature, traits that endeared her to all who knew her.

A visitation for Betty Faye Raines will be held on October 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wells Funeral Home. Her funeral service will take place at the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home on October 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. 

For many years, Betty served as a retired clerk at Maggie T's Store in Batesville, where her friendly demeanor and commitment to service left a lasting impression on both customers and colleagues. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Betty was a loving mother to her two sons, Terry Raines and Glenn Raines, both of Pope, MS. Her children and grandchildren cherished her deeply, viewing her as a consistent source of love and support in their lives. She had a special way of nurturing her family, a testament to her devotion and pride in her role as a mother and grandmother.

In addition to her professional life, Betty found joy in her hobbies. She enjoyed mowing her grass and tending to her yard, taking pleasure in the beauty of nature. Shopping was another favorite pastime, where she often found delightful treasures and enjoyed the thrill of discovery.

Betty is survived by her sons, Terry and Glenn both of Pope, her siblings, Etta Sue Raines and Henry Moore both of Pope, and her treasured seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They will always remember her warmth and dedication to her family, as well as the lessons she imparted through her actions and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Moore and Lucille Peeples Moore, and her great-grandchild, Madden McCollough. Their memories will continue to resonate within the hearts of those she leaves behind.
