Betty Jean Wilson

Betty Jean Wilson, age 86, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Bartlett, TN. 

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Forest Hill Cemetery – Midtown in Memphis TN. Mr. Michael Bates will be officiating. 

Betty was born August 11, 1935 to the late Emil Jay Strauser and Florence Dean Moore Strauser in Obion, Tennessee. She worked at home raising and caring for her children before moving to the Batesville area. Betty was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. 

The family she leaves behind to cherish her precious memory includes her daughter, Joyce Rutledge of Memphis, TN; two sons, Andy Wilson of Memphis, TN, and Tommy Wilson of Woodruff, S.C.; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren with one great grandchild on the way. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Edgar Wilson, Jr.; one sister, Martha Singleton; and 5 brothers, Dorman Strauser, John Strauser, William Strauser, James Strauser, and Emmett Strauser.
