Billy Elmore, Jr., born on August 30, 1959, in Batesville, MS, Billy Joe Elmore and the late Betty Roberson Elmore. He lived his life with passion and purpose, touching the hearts of many as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Billy dedicated over twenty-one years of his professional life as a valued salesman for Pepsi America, where his warmth and genuine spirit made a lasting impact on both his colleagues and customers.
Billy was not only known for his remarkable career; he was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. His passions included hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors—activities that connected him to nature and brought peace to his soul. He also loved woodworking, often crafting beautiful pieces that would become cherished heirlooms for his family. Billy found immense joy working in his vegetable garden, nurturing both plants and bonds with those around him. His love for reading also provided him an avenue for adventure and exploration beyond the confines of daily life. Most importantly, he was a dedicated supporter of Wild Again in Mississippi Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, showcasing his compassionate heart and commitment to making a difference. Billy was also an avid Mississippi State Bulldog Fan.
At the core of Billy's life were his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Land Elmore, who stood by his side through thick and thin, fostering a love that many aspire to achieve. As a proud father, Billy is remembered by his daughters: Bethany Elmore Tramel (Charlie) of Oxford, MS, Amanda Elmore Moore of Saltillo, MS, and Erin Barbee Legge (Matthew) of Batesville, MS. His legacy continues through his ten cherished grandchildren: Tyler Meeks, Daniel Meeks, Ben Meeks, Wyatt Tramel, Ledger Tramel, Karley Tramel, Amelia Tramel, Hudson Legge, Harper Legge, and Hattie Legge. The brightest light in his life was becoming a "Pop" to these grandchildren, a role he embraced with immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind a great-grandson, Shepherd Meeks, who will carry forward the love and lessons of a remarkable man. Billy is also survived by his father, Billy Joe Elmore, Sr., his sister Kelley Elmore Robison (Brad), and his brother Scott Elmore (Cindy).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Roberson Elmore, whose memory will forever be a guiding light in his family’s hearts.
