Carol Ann Ware Bryant, born on March 3, 1946, in Panola County, MS, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the Northwest MS Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and a cherished member of her community.
Funeral services for Carol will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends at 12 Noon prior to the service. Carol will be laid to rest at Forrest Memorial Park.
Carol dedicated a significant part of her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Marks Nursing Home and the old Batesville Hospital in the swing bed wing. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the gentle and compassionate care she provided.
A devoted member of the Goodway United Pentecostal Church, Carol found strength and solace in her faith throughout her life. She enjoyed various hobbies that reflected her creative spirit, including reading, singing, and writing poetry, all of which brought joy to her and those around her.
Carol is survived by her husband, James Earl Bryant of Marks, as well as her three daughters: Lorie Adams of Como, Ginger Murphy of Charleston, and Brandie Lavelle Chrestman of Batesville. Carol also leaves behind nine precious grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love and support for her family, guiding them with her wisdom and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. Ware and Minnie Mae Mehan Ware, as well as seven brothers and two sisters, leaving a void in the lives of those who loved her.
Carol Bryant’s life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her.
