Charles Gregory Meek

Charles Gregory Meek, age 63, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina where he resided.

Funeral services for Greg will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a private interment at Desoto Memorial Gardens in Southaven, Mississippi.

Greg was born on December 26, 1961 to George W. Meek and Patricia Robinson Meek in Panola County, Mississippi. Greg was a graduate of West Panola Academy where be played running back on the football team and also played basketball and baseball. He received his associates degree in nursing from Northwest Community College and worked at various hospitals before finding himself back in the family business, auto sales. Greg worked at several dealerships in south Florida before opening his own dealership in Jacksonville, FL

Greg had a bold and colorful personality, often shown by his wardrobe. His fun-loving spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.

The family he leaves behind includes his mate, Denise Meek of Raleigh, NC; his son, Gavin Meek of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, David Meek (Jacqui) of Del Ray, FL, and Jeff Meek (Rita) of Southaven, MS; his father, George W. Meek (Linda) of Courtland, MS; his mother, Patricia Robinson Meek of Southaven, MS; his six aunts, Mary Nell Meek Bright (late Hugh) of Courtland, MS, Joy Mullen (late Buddy) of Oakland, MS, Linda Colston (late Bill) of Waxahachie, TX, Rebecca Brunk (Allen) of Oakwood, TX, Sherry Childs (late Ray) of Midland, TX, Geneva Meek of Batesville, MS; his three uncles, Sid Meek (Gail) of Courtland, MS, Clyde Robinson (Suzanne) of Water Valley, MS, Mike Robinson (Angela) of Oakland, MS; three nieces, Summers Robertson (Kevin), Alexandra Meek, and Kecia Grappo (Lou); and three nephews, Brandon Meek (Brigette), Rivers Meek, and Joseph Meek.

He is preceded in death by two uncles, Jimmy Meek, Bill Robinson; aunt, Joann Robinson Heafner (late Henry); and one nephew, Ryan Meek.
