David Glen Burns, age 59, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Funeral services for David will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 prior to the service. Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS.

David was born on April 13, 1962 in Memphis, TN to the late Wayne B. and Edna E. Moore Burns. He was a construction worker and was of Baptist faith. 

The family he leaves behind includes his uncle, Roy Burns of Courtland, MS; two sisters, Teresa Boucher of Batesville, MS, and Evelyn Rutherford of Greenwood, MS; and one brother, Tommy Crutcher of Batesville, MS. 

Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Bailey Burns, Jr. and James Michael Crutcher.
