Dennis Chester Kerr

Dennis Kerr passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at the age of 90, surrounded by family in Naples, FL. 

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Spring Hill Cemetery near Charleston, MS.

He was born on September 3, 1935 in Charleston, Mississippi. Dennis loved his family and was an avid LSU football fan. Known for his feisty and strong personality, he served in the US Air Force, enjoyed tailgating with his family at LSU games, attended away games and bowl games. 

Dennis demonstrated a spirit of excellence as a successful business man, and his profession was absolutely rewarding for him. Lastly, he will truly be remembered as a wonderful father who raised four children. "Thank you so much, Daddy."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maybelle (Melton) Kerr, his sons, Darryl Kerr and Dennis Kerr, Jr., his mother, Agnes (Hill) Kerr, his father, Chester Kerr and his brother-in-law, Joe Sanders. 

He is survived by his children, Randy Kerr, Lisha (Kerr) Jacobsen, Lawanna (Kerr) McBride, his sister, Sylvia (Kerr) Sanders, his brother, Johnny Kerr, his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kerr and a daughter-in-law, Renee' (Sullivan) Kerr. grandchildren and great grandchildren.
