Dennis Gene Pearson, age 77, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at his home in Batesville, Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Dennis was born on October 13, 1948 to the late Robert Doyle Pearson and Margaret Sue Borchert in Lambert, Mississippi. He was a dedicated man who spent much of his life working as the plant manager for the Yazoo Valley Oil Mill. In addition to this important role, he was also a truck driver, showing his strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities.
Dennis was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. His service is a testament to his dedication to his country and the values he held dear. He was also a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
Outside of work and church, Dennis loved to spend his free time tinkering in his shop. He found joy in working with his hands and fixing things. He also enjoyed watching John Wayne Western movies, which brought him a sense of adventure and nostalgia. Playing with his dogs was another favorite pastime.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Collie Gore Pearson of Batesville, Mississippi. He was a proud father to two sons: Dennis Blake Pearson and his wife Meagan of Batesville, Mississippi, and Robert Russell Pearson and his wife Stacey of San Antonio, Texas. Dennis was also a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren who brought great joy to his life.
Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Curtis Pearson, and his brother, Doyle Pearson.
