Elizabeth Jones Pickett

Elizabeth Jones Pickett, age 96, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Providence Assisted Living Home in Batesville, MS.

Per Mrs. Pickett's request, a private family graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS.

Elizabeth was born August 20, 1923 in Charleston, MS to the Dan and Leona Cox Jones. She was a retired dietician for the Ms. State Board of Health and a member of the former Pope United Methodist Church.

Elizabeth's memory will be cherished by her family, which includes, two sons, Joseph Rodney Pickett of Pope, MS, Joel Stanton Pickett (Sonya) of Greenville, IL; daughter-in-law, Rachel Callahan Pickett of Pope, MS; sister, Martha Jones Blanchard (Lewis) of Magnolia, AR; four grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barney Pickett and her son, John Mark Pickett.
