Frankie Lanelle Sexton Purdy, age 74, passed away, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.

Funeral service for Frankie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:00. Interment will be held at Forrest Memorial Park.

Frankie was born April 9, 1946 to the late Austin Sexton and Sarah Reynolds Sexton in Sledge, MS. Frankie was a homemaker who cherished raising and taking care of her family. She was committed to keeping her home clean and orderly. Frankie enjoyed shopping and taking care of her flowers. She was of the Baptist faith.

The loving family she leaves behind includes her precious husband of 55 years Billy Wayne Purdy, Sr., daughters; Misty Cowart (Leston) of Madison, Michelle Horton Fowler (James) of Senatobia; sons, Billy Wayne Purdy, Jr. (Melisa) of Courtland, Michael Purdy of Hernando; brothers, Billy Sexton of Strayhorn, Hubert Sexton of Senatobia, Herbert Sexton of Courtland, Bobby Sexton of Grenada; grandchildren, Abbey and Seth Cowart, Paige and Katie Horton, Caitlin, Blake, Blaine, and Baylee Purdy.
