Garey Seger

It is with great sadness that the family of Garey Elton Seger announce his passing on August 26, 2020 at the age of 64.

Garey was born on February 24, 1956 to Mazell Harris and Donald Seger. On December 6, 1986 he married former spouse Vickie Newsome and together they raised four children. Garey loved to fish and was quoted saying that his biggest catch was “the one that didn’t get away”. He was known as a hardworking man and a loving father. Garey was a man of great strength and exhibited this quality throughout his life.

Garey is survived by his four children: Norman Seger, Nickolas (Rebekah) Seger, Grace (Nathan) Thayer, Louis Seger; and grandchildren: Jeffery, Mattix and Maelynn.

No funeral services will be held as it was Garey’s wish that his passing be about the places and people he loved. Those who wish to pay their respects to Garey are encouraged to do so by reaching out to his family and honoring his memory in the little things.
