September 17, 1967 — April 4, 2026

Oxford, Mississippi

Gena Kay Tuft, age 58, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at her home near Oxford, Mississippi.

Gena was welcomed into this world on September 17, 1967 to the late Edwin Wayne Lee and Relda Marler Lee in Corinth, Mississippi.

Gena was a cherished mother, devoted wife, and loving grandmother. She devoted most of life as a stay-at-home mother, focusing on the well-being and happiness of her loved ones. Gena loved the outdoors, especially fond of gardening, where she found peace and fulfillment tending to her plants and nurturing the earth.

Gena and her husband, Michael Tuft of Oxford, Mississippi, shared a beautiful partnership rooted in love and laughter. They found great excitement in spontaneous trips, creating lasting memories that will be forever cherished.

Her greatest joy was found in the laughter and growth of her three daughters—Kasey Conner (Payton) of Oxford, Mississippi, Savannah Daniels (Josh) of Oxford, Mississippi, and Alex McCairns (Charlie) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—and her treasured five grandchildren: Mack Conner, Madelynn Daniels, Aubrey Daniels, Miles McCairns, and Delta McCairns. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart. Gena also leaves behind a brother, David Lee of Memphis, Tennessee.

In reflecting on Gena’s life, her family and friends hold close the memory of a woman whose heart was vast and compassionate. Her devotion, warmth, and steadfast love remain vivid in the lives she touched. Though she has passed from this world, the bonds she nurtured and the example she set continue as an enduring testament to a life well lived.

Gena’s memory will forever be cherished by those who loved her and by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her family will be celebrating her life privately.
