Grace H. Whitley

Grace Hadorn Whitley, age 80, passed Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her home in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 5, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.

Grace was born on May 1, 1945 to the late Edward Fred Hadorn and Abbie Leona Long Hadorn in Tennessee. She led a life marked by compassion and commitment to her family.

Throughout her life, Grace was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, dedicating herself especially to her son, who faced disabilities. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she created a loving environment that fostered care and support. Grace was a cherished sister to Gloria Davis of Batesville, MS, and a beloved member of a large family which included numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended relatives.

An active and dedicated member of the Batesville Church of Christ, Grace's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved to indulge in her hobbies; her collection of antique dolls was a testament to her appreciation for history and beauty. Grace also had a passion for photography, capturing cherished moments with her family that would serve as keepsakes for years to come. A true fan of Elvis Presley, her love for music brought joy and vibrancy to her everyday life.

Grace was preceded in death by her twin sons, Jason and Joshua Whitley, and seven siblings: James Hadorn, Fred Hadorn, Emma Hadorn, Frank Hadorn, Billy Hadorn, David Hadorn, and Jessie Hadorn. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
