Janie Lorraine "Peggy" George

Janie Lorraine George, affectionately known as "Peggy", passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the age of 79. 

Peggy was born on July 8, 1946 to the late Hulett Aus Bolen and Katie Lorraine Whitten Bolen in Marks, Mississippi. For most of her life, she worked as a factory worker at Panola Mills in Batesville. After her career there, she went on to work at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in the housekeeping department. 

Peggy lived a simple life, enjoying being in the comfort of her own home. 

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her nieces and nephews, Patsy Lynn Avant, Carol Ann Massey, James Luttrell, Jr., Pam Raines, Pam Raines, Gary Gray, David Taylor, and Jan Taylor; her beloved cousin and caretaker, Etta Raines, and her grandhcildren, whom also helped care for Peggy, Nicholas Kendall and Kaylie Raines; and her great niece and nephews, Sannon Taylor, Jacob Taylor, and Mason Taylor. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy "Buddy" Taylor; her daughter, Teresa Lynn Taylor; her siblings, Elaine Putt, Mary Ann Luttrell, Bobby Ray Bolen, and Thelma Jean "Tiny" Avant; and one niece, Lisa Fay Bolen. 

Per Peggy's wishes, there will be no services held.
