Jimmie Preston Bowles, age 83, passed away Friday morning, July 2, 2021 at his home near Batesville, MS. 

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral service. Mr. Jimmie will be laid to rest at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. 

Jimmie was born on November 19, 1937 to the late Preston Bowles and Nona Mae West Bowles in Sledge, MS. He was retired from South Central Bell where he worked as a switchman and was a member of the Crowder Assembly of God. Jimmie also honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy. 

The family he leaves behind includes his precious wife, Shirley Ann Bowles of Batesville; one daughter, Lisa Bowles of Batesville; one sister, Mary Whitten of Tocowa; and one brother, Bobby John Bowles of Crowder.
