John Francis Davis, born on March 10, 1941, in Grafton, West Virginia, passed away on July 30, 2025, in Batesville, Mississippi. He was a beloved figure in his community and is remembered for his dedication to his family and his profession.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church with the family receiving friends prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. Following the service, John will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

John spent his career in manufacturing, serving as a Quality Control Manager. His work ethic and commitment to quality were admired by his colleagues and contributed to the success of the companies he worked for throughout his life. He was a loyal member of Calvary Baptist Church where he faithfully volunteered in VBS, went on mission trips, and served as deacon. John’s passion extended beyond his professional and church endeavors; from a young age, he earned the nickname "Tinker" for his love of working with his hands. He found joy in woodworking and spent countless hours in his shop, creating beautiful projects that showcased his talent and craftsmanship. Notably, John built the home he shared with his late wife, Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Davis, by himself, a testament to his skills and determination.

John proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he not only fulfilled his duty to his country but also developed friendships and valuable life lessons that shaped who he was as a person.

In addition to his parents, Hugh Albert Davis and Nina Billingsley Davis, John was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty years, Jackie, who stood by his side through all of life's journeys. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and cherished memories.

Surviving are his daughters, Deanna Davis DeVazier (Dave) and Pam Davis Cook (Travis), both of Batesville, and his son, Dwayne Davis (Laura Beth) of Pope. John was also a proud grandfather to Kyle DeVazier (Hannah), Kelsey DeVazier Perry (Fowler), Cole DeVazier (Stephanie), Tylan Boyette, Bryer Cook, Ryan Davis, and Cade Davis. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Brynn DeVazier, Shepard Gillis, Edi Kate DeVazier, and soon-to-arrive Bennett Perry.

John Davis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on through the lives he touched and the family he so deeply cherished.
