John E. Green

John E. Green, age 94, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at his home in Batesville, Mississippi. 

John was born on January 8, 1931 to the late James E. Green and Geneva K. Green Green in St. Louis, Missouri. He heroically joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served our country for 8 years. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended Michigan State University. 

John's career as a turn around manager allowed him to move all around the country. He loved to travel, no matter if it was for work or for relaxation. When John retired, he had time to indulge in his favorite hobby, bass fishing. He could spend the entire day on the lake, whether the fish were biting or not. 

The family he leaves behind includes his wife, Diana Lizana Green of Batesville, MS; two sons, Lance S. Green (Patty) of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Shane R. Green of Ocala, FL; and one step-son, Brian Steele of Houston, TX. 

There will be a private memorial held a later date. 

The family also wants to express their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their loving care.
