Keelyn was born on September 18, 1972, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and dedication to those he loved.

Keelyn was known for his warm and friendly nature, never hesitating to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. His quick wit and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A proud and devoted “girl dad,” Keelyn adored his wife, daughters and granddaughters, taking immense pride in watching them grow and flourish.

Outside of his skilled trade as a carpenter, Keelyn embraced life with passion and joy. He loved the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing, finding peace and fulfillment in nature’s embrace. Traveling was another of Keelyn’s joys; he delighted in exploring new places and savoring diverse experiences at various restaurants across the country. His friends were like family to him, and his hospitality extended far and wide. Those gatherings were often brightened by his spirited karaoke performances and his remarkable collection of cowboy boots, which he wore with unmistakable style. An avid Ole Miss fan, he rooted wholeheartedly for his team, embodying the spirit of loyalty and pride.

Keelyn’s family was central to his life. He is dearly survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy Hansen Ware of Batesville, Mississippi; his three treasured daughters, Sabie Ware Serfontein (and her husband Gideon), Shelby Ware, and Kaylen Ware Matthews (late Bryce), all of Batesville; his father, Tony Ware, and mother, Joyce Wheeler Ware, both of Batesville; his brother, Jason Ware (and his wife Dana); and his four beloved granddaughters: Zoey Ware, Dacee Campbell, Coey Ware, and Lottie Matthews. Their profound love for Keelyn reflects the extraordinary man he was, a pillar of strength and warmth whose legacy will continue to inspire. Keelyn is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews he adored.

Within recent years, Keelyn was able to reunite with his birth family. These family members include his birth parents, Gale Hagood of Crawford, MS, Randy Massey of Starkville, MS, Kathy “Big Momma” Massey of Sturgis, MS; along with his six other sibling, Emma Massey of Starkville, MS, Naomi Massey of Starkville, MS, Zack Massey (April) of Starkville, MS, Joe John Massey of Sturgis, MS, Bebe Taylor of Houston, TX and Robbie Taylor of Crawford, MS.

Keelyn Glenn Ware’s life story is one of kindness woven deeply into every relationship, every moment of joy, and every act of generosity. His footprint on the hearts of those he knew is indelible, and while he is no longer with us in body, the warmth of his presence remains forever. We remember Keelyn not just for his work or his passions, but for the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the way he made every person feel uniquely valued. In this tender reflection, we hold close the memory of a life beautifully lived.
