Larry C. Guinn

Larry C. Guinn was born July 31, 1948 in San Antonio, TX to Donald F and Juanita H Guinn and died Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Tallahatchie General Hospital Elder Care Facility in Charleston, MS of complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

Larry had various careers including banker, law enforcement officer, business manager, ordained minister, hospital chaplain and grief counselor. He worked with funeral homes in Rio Grande Valley TX by releasing white doves at the interments.

Larry had a love for music which began in his early years. Singing, playing the accordion, and the harmonica. Larry was a member of Water Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. As a pastor, his duties took him to live in many places in Texas from Dallas Fort Worth area to the Rio Grande Valley.

Larry is survived by his wife, Myrtle Hastings Guinn of Batesville, MS and daughter, Laurie Huff (Christopher) of Yukon, OK; his brother, William D Guinn (Sue) of Keene, TX.; 2 nieces, one great niece, two great nephews and many cousins and friends.

He will be greatly missed.
