Laura Woods Faulkner, age 58, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Panola Medical Center. She was the widow of Mr. Timothy D. Faulkner. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery near Enid, MS. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home.

Laura was born January 15, 1964 in Winona, MS to the late Willie Raymond and Freddie Fern Birdsong Woods. She worked at Anderson Technologies in Batesville, MS as a Press Operator. She attended New Hope Church of God in Batesville, MS. Laura enjoyed watching the T.V. sitcom “Reba”, working in her flower beds and fishing. Her greatest pleasure was visiting with her family and friends, along with walking around the Batesville Indian Mounds.

Laura’s outgoing personality and memory will be remembered most by her family, which includes her daughter, Alicia Faulkner Steward of Batesville, MS; son, Jeremy Dewayne Faulkner and wife, Melissa Rose of Batesville, MS; grandson, David Allen Faulkner of Batesville, MS; five sisters, Kathy Woods Brinson of Parson, KS, Paulette Woods Bennett of Grenada, MS, Deborah Woods Yates of Grenada, MS; Eloise Woods Turner of Enid, MS, Lisa Woods Darby of Enid, MS; two brothers, Billy Ray Woods of Grenada, MS, Terry Lee Woods of Grenada, MS.

Along with her husband and parents, Laura was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Woods and one sister, Sedatha Durham.
