Leslie Banks Brasell, Jr.

Leslie Banks Brasell, Jr., age 53, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at his home in Abbeville, MS.

A graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 22, 2021, at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends Monday afternoon at the cemetery beginning at 2:30 P.M.

Leslie was born November 18, 1967 in Clarksdale, MS to Leslie Banks and Joyce Bickerstaff Brasell. He was a graduate of West Panola Academy in Batesville, MS, and attended Mississippi State University working towards his business and marketing degree. Following his time in Starkville, MS, Leslie continued to attend and follow MSU football and baseball games. When Leslie wasn’t on the road driving his truck, he enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and playing golf. He always loved spending time with his grandchildren and his companion “Dozer”.

Leslie will be most remembered by his son, Leslie Banks Brasell, III of Sherwood, AR; daughter, Lauren Tutor Gaters (Jamie) of Saucier, MS; grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton and Ridge Tutor; parents, Banks and Joyce Brasell of Batesville, MS; brother, Lance Brasell (Whitney) of Baton Rouge, LA; niece and nephews, Katie, Brady and Taylor Brasell; his former wife, Linda McLarty of Courtland, MS; Linda’s children, B.J. Tutor of Oxford, MS, Cody Wayne Tutor of Oxford; and Linda’s grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton, Ridge, and Kensley Tutor.
