Linda Mooneyham Hill

August 21, 1950 — September 20, 2025

Batesville, Mississippi

Linda Mooneyham Hill, age 75, passed away Saturday morning, September 20, 2025 at her home in Batesville, Mississippi.

Linda was born on August 21, 1950 to the late Everett Mooneyham and Clara Simmons Mooneyham in Tucson, Arizona and grew up in Orlando, Florida. During her journey here on earth, Linda and her husband, Jimmie B. Hill, embraced mission work and evangelism, including located work in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and American Samoa as well as campaigns throughout Africa, Iceland and the South Pacific. Linda and Jimmie helped establish International Bible Teaching Ministries, which Linda continued to work with for more than a decade after Jimmie's death, supporting teachers and preachers around the world.

In addition to her impactful vocation, Linda found immense joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. She homeschooled her daughter, Julie, from kindergarten through high school at a time when it was not easy to do so, at times creating her own curriculum out of necessity. She cherished the time spent with her grandsons, whether playing games with them, cooking for them, or helping to home school them. She instilled a love of writing and music in them, teaching them to play piano and spending hours writing stories together. She shared with them her wisdom and kindness. Her love and support for her family were boundless, making a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Linda was a member of the Batesville Church of Christ. Her faith was an anchor in her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.

The family Linda leaves behind includes her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bronson Roper; her sister, Carolyn Segler (Joseph); three grandchildren, Cole Rawlins (Gracie), Jasper Roper, and Henry Roper, two nephews, Barry Bichard, and Brian Bichard, several greatnieces and greatnephews, and two great-greatnieces.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmie B. Hill. They shared adventures together for thirty-nine years.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday on October 11th at the Batesville Church of Christ.
