Linda Goodwin Holley, age 78, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Following the service, Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles S. "Buck" Holley at Shady Grove Cemetery in Batesville, MS
Linda was born December 22, 1946, to the late Bo and Ida Lee Epps Goodwin.
She retired from Panola Mills in Batesville, MS. She dedicated many years of her life cake decorating, shopping, and cooking. Linda also found joy in caring for children, having spent several years babysitting after her retirement. Her commitment to nurturing others was a testament to her compassionate spirit, and she took great pride in the relationships she cultivated with those around her.
Linda is survived by her devoted family members, including her daughter, Cynthia Annette Stiles (Jeff) of Virginia; her sons, Chuck Holley (Barbara) of Batesville, MS, and Timothy Hill (Sarah) of Oxford, MS. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Ruby Goodwin Lawrence of Oxford, MS; Peggy Goodwin Turnage of Oxford, MS; Martha Goodwin Denman of Pope, MS; Buddy Goodwin of Oxford, MS; and Richard Goodwin of Batesville, MS. Linda was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. "Buck" Holley, as well as her parents, Bo and Ida Lee Epps Goodwin. Linda was also preceded by her sisters, Patsy Goodwin Oliphant and Faye Goodwin Putman, and her brother, Ernest Lee Goodwin.
