Loren W. Wicks, 87, died Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Loren, born October 26, 1938 in Marion, Illinois to the late Irvin and Marie Wicks, was a member of the Sardis Lake Community Water Association. He was also the owner and contractor of Wicks Construction for over 4.5 decades.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Wicks, his sister Linda Owens, and his son Michael Brown. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Sherman of Batesville, one son, Timothy Carter of Hernando, one goddaughter, Pam Fondren of Batesville, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
