Margie H. Clark

On January 16, 2024, Margie Herring Clark went to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed away at her daughter's home in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services were be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the New Hope Church of God.  Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Forrest Memorial Park. 

Margie was born April 5, 1936 to Carl Herring and Dolly McDonald Herring in Crenshaw, MS. She was a member of New Hope Church of God. Margie greatly enjoyed spending time with her church friends and family. She was also a proud Lions Club member. 

She is survived by her son, Raymond Len (Beverly) of Enid, MS; three daughters, Glenda Clark Aven (Raymond) of Batesville, MS, Darlene Clark Lawrence (Preston) of Batesville, and Dorothy Clark Maddux (David) of Batesville; her daughter-in-law, Carol Avent Clark; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond Duley Clark; two sons, Donald (Donnie) Clark and James (Jimmy) Clark; two brothers, Carl Herring Jr. and Otis Leon Herring; one sister, Dorothy Corine Williams Still; and one daughter-in-law, Jane Kelsay Clark. 

The family asks that anyone who wishes to send memorials in Mrs. Clarks memory to one of the following: New Hope Church Cross fund, or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
