Mary Frances McDaniel Coggins, age 81, passed away on October 14, 2025, at the Tallahatchie General Hospital-Nursing Home in Charleston, Mississippi.
Funeral services for Mary Frances will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mary Frances was born on November 5, 1944, in Dyess, Arkansas to the late Homer Clifton McDaniel and Irene Elizabeth Clark. She lived a life marked by dedication to her work and a passion for nature and her faith. For many years, Mary Frances served as the pharmacy clerk at Stone's Drugstore, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless customers.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Mary Frances was known for her love of bird watching and planting beautiful flowers. These hobbies brought her joy and serenity, allowing her to connect with the beauty of nature.
Mary Frances was also a proud member of the Good Will Church of God, where she actively participated in the community, offering her support and faith to those around her. Her devotion to her church enriched her life and those of her fellow congregants.
The family Mary Frances leaves behind include her son, Barry Bridges and his wife, Teri of Batesville, MS; two grandchildren, Ryan Bridges of Nashville, TN, and Bailey Bridges of Batesville, MS; one sister, Patricia Holland of Oakland, MS, and one brother, James McDaniel of California.
Along with her parents, she is reunited with her first husband, Gilliam B. Bridges, and her second husband, James Lee “Jim” Coggins; one sister, Pearl M. Traywick; and five brothers, Buddy McDaniel, Clarence McDaniel, Albert McDaniel, Louis McDaniel, and Leon McDaniel.
