Michael Gene Jaco

Michael Gene Jaco, age 55, passed away Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 30, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 A.M. prior to the service.

Michael was born on March 15, 1970 in Sardis, MS to Terry Gene Jaco (Shannon) and Dorothy Jean Bradley Martin. He was a cherished member of the Batesville community, known for his dedication and hard work. Michael served as a repairman for TNT Appliances in Batesville, where he earned the respect of his colleagues and clients.

A man of many interests, Michael had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, particularly in grabbling, and his passion for hunting brought him countless memorable moments. These pursuits were more than hobbies; they were a testament to his appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures of life.

Michael also attended the Shiloh Cowboy Church in Coffeeville, where he built meaningful connections with fellow worshippers.

The family Michael leaves behind includes his sisters, Terra Ann Payne (Larry) of Duck Hill, MS, and Teresa Marie Bailey of Booneville, MS, Kylee Jaco and Kendall Jaco both of Independence, MS; two nieces, Courtney Buice and Ashley Cummins (Kyle); two nephews, Dillon (Emilee) and Walker Holland (Dana); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, great nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Gene Jaco; his mother, Dorothy Jean Martin; and a nephew, Dustin Buice.

Michael will be remembered for his loving spirit, unwavering work ethic, and profound appreciation for the great outdoors. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
