Mona Denise Roberts, a cherished resident of Batesville, MS, passed away on March 17, 2026. Born on October 11, 1960, in Batesville, Mona lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and an enduring love for those around her.
The family will hold a memorial service Celebrating Mona’s life at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Sardis Lake Baptist Church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
Mona was known for her fun-loving spirit and her ability to bring joy and laughter to any room she entered. She had a natural talent for joking around, infusing everyday moments with light and levity, which deeply touched the lives of her family and friends.
Her career began with dedicated factory work at the Batesville Casket, where she contributed faithfully until its closure. Subsequently, Mona took up employment with Smith Cleaners in Batesville, continuing her steadfast commitment to her work and community.
Outside of her professional life, Mona enjoyed spending time walking outdoors, finding peace and solace in nature’s embrace. She also delighted in the simple excitement of playing scratch-off tickets, a hobby that brought her small moments of joy and anticipation.
Mona’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She is lovingly remembered by her partner, George Morgan, who shared companionship and unwavering support. Her sons, Justin Roberts and Chase Roberts, who carry forward her legacy and values, mourn her loss deeply. She was a beloved sister to Ginger Calvert, as well as to her brothers, James Lesley Doty with his wife Bridget, and Gary Doty with his wife Kimberly. Mona also cherished her grandchildren, Landon Roberts, Vada Roberts, and Zoe Roberts whose lives she enriched with her love and care.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Doty and Carrie Mae Coleman Doty; her grandparents, Burris "Red" Doty and Evelyn Doty whose memory lives on in the hearts of their descendants.
Mona Denise Roberts’ life journey was one of dedication, joy, and heartfelt connections. She will be remembered respectfully for her enduring spirit, her lively personality, and the profound love she shared with her family and community.
