Murray Blake Bridges, known fondly as Blake, passed away on April 18, 2026, in Lambert, Mississippi, following a tragic accident.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 27, 2026, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Crowder Cemetery in Crowder, MS. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Born on January 21, 1986, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Blake was a man whose warmth, humor, and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Blake pursued a career as a contractor and was the proud owner and operator of Eman's LLC. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. Known for his playful spirit, Blake was a prankster who always kept those around him laughing with his quick wit and good-natured humor.
An avid outdoorsman, Blake cherished hunting, fishing, and the simple joys of being in nature. He and the love of his life, Mary, had a special bond through their adventures riding back roads together. Their home was a sanctuary not only for their family but also for their cherished "Fur Babies"—Sally, Sayle, and Levi—who held a special place in Blake’s heart.
Blake is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Taylor Bridges of Crowder, MS; his two children, Emersyn and Ethan; and his "other son," Wesley Bolton and his wife, Emily. He was a devoted son and brother, survived by his mother, Patricia Jones Bridges of Crowder; his siblings, Cristal Bridges Harris and her husband Brian of Wilson, Arkansas, Harvey Gayle Bridges, II of Crowder, and Amanda Bridges Daniel and her husband Brady of Coldwater, Mississippi. Blake was also a proud grandfather to two granddaughters, Paisley and Josie, and is fondly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews. His father, Harvey Gayle Bridges, preceded him in death.
