Ricky Lee Clemons, a cherished member of his family and community, was born on August 12, 1966, in Marks, Mississippi. He departed this life on July 30, 2025, in Crenshaw, Mississippi, at the age of 58.
Family and friends will gather to honor Ricky’s life during a visitation at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, Mississippi, on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:30 PM. Ricky will be laid to rest at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, MS during a burial service on the same day.
Ricky was known for his happy and jolly demeanor, which brought joy to everyone he encountered. He spent many fulfilling years working in maintenance at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS before he was unable. His upbeat personality and dedication made a positive impact on his coworkers. Ricky found happiness in the simple pleasures of life.
Ricky had a love for animals and enjoyed visiting the casino, where he could share in the excitement of games and gatherings. Although he did not have children of his own, he was a beloved uncle and took great delight in being around his nieces and nephews. Christmas time was a particular favorite for Ricky, as it provided him the opportunity to spread cheer and create lasting memories with his family.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Sue Dunson (Tony) of Sarah, Tammy Leon (Marco) of Crenshaw, and his brother, Johnny Clemons of Senatobia. Ricky now joins in eternal rest with his late brother, James Clemons, and his parents, Shed Manard Clemons and Oudia Rose Dalton Clemons, who have all passed before him.
Ricky Lee Clemons will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and love for life, leaving a legacy of happiness in the hearts of all who knew him.
