Robert A. Fisak passed away on April 23, 2025, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi. Robert lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication to family and his country. He was 81 years old.
He was a cherished husband to Mari “Ky” Stubblefield, who stood by him with unwavering support throughout their years together. As a father, he took deep pride in his children, Joel and Candace, nurturing them with values of kindness and integrity. The joy he found in family extended to his treasured grandchildren, Taylor, Nicholas, and Douglas, who were a constant source of happiness in his life. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and leadership among his five brothers and his sister, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, countless memories, and lifelong friendship.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio in April 1944 to Alex and Helen Fisak, Robert was the eldest of seven children. From an early age, he embraced the role of protector, guide, and best friend to his siblings, a role he carried with pride and devotion throughout his life.
After graduating college, Robert was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. His military service took him across the globe, including deployments to Germany and Vietnam, and a leadership role as commander of his Armored Cavalry Company at Fort Meade, Maryland. His dedication to his troops and to his country was unwavering.
Following five years of honorable military service, Robert continued his commitment to protecting others by embarking on a distinguished career in federal law enforcement. He first served as a U.S. Marshal with the Federal Reserve and later as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service. Over 28 years, Robert played a vital role in criminal investigations and safeguarded presidents and dignitaries with quiet courage and steadfast professionalism.
Robert's lifetime of service earned him the deep respect and admiration of all who knew him — a testament to his character, leadership, and enduring love for his country and family. His strength, kindness, and unwavering integrity leave a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Robert will be inurned at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Collierville, TN. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
He will be deeply missed.
