Robert Hill

Robert Earl Hill, age 88, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Batesville, Mississippi.

Graveside services for Robert will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at McIvor Cemetery near Sardis, Mississippi.

Robet was born on April 22, 1938 to the late Howard Vurland Hill and Laura Elizabeth Slawson Hill in Carroll County, Mississippi. He dedicated most of his life to farming. His devotion was especially evident in his work as a dairy farmer and in raising cattle, even having a pig farm at one time. Away from his work, Robert found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Those he leaves behind includes his children, Robert “Robby” Burton Hill, Tony Hill, Chad Hill, Tonya Nance, and Nina Hall; one brother, Jimmy Hill; a special friend, Tom Malone; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Hill and Howard Hill.
