Sandra Gail Hughes Bright

Sandra Gail Hughes Bright, born on September 19, 1964, in Batesville, Mississippi, passed away on January 22, 2026, at the Panola Medical Center at the age of 61. A devoted homemaker throughout her life, Sandra touched the hearts of many with her nurturing spirit and dedication to her family and friends.

Sandra was a cherished member of the Hosanna Family Worship Center, where she found community and fellowship. Her life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and friends, and a joy for creating experiences that would be treasured.

She was a passionate individual whose interests included sewing and various arts and crafts, showcasing her creativity and love for beauty in everyday life. Cooking was another of her great joys; she delighted in preparing meals for her family and found immense satisfaction in gathering them around the table. Though her health began to decline in her later years, she cherished the memories of fishing and hunting adventures, activities that allowed her to connect with nature and share joyful moments with loved ones.

Sandra will be remembered by her three daughters: Alishia Smith of Sardis, MS, Ashley Echols of Sardis, MS, and Jessi Gibson of Batesville, MS. She will also be dearly missed by two brothers and two sisters, along with eight grandchildren: Keila Bright, Tristan Bright, Trey Smith, Tripp Morgan, Raylin Morgan, McKenna Bright, Weston Gibson, and Peyton Gibson, as well as two great-grandchildren, Laelonnie Bright and Arvani Bright.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Rudolph Hughes and Annie Ruth Hall Hughes, whose influences shaped her character and values. Sandra's life was a testament to love, family, friends, and creativity. She will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

There will be a celebration of Sandra's life held at a later date.
