Terry Lee Vernon

Terry Lee Vernon, age 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, September 2, 2017 at his home in Harmontown, MS.Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with a 3:00 P.M. committal service at Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery in Memphis, TN. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. Thursday morning.Terry was born November 5, 1955 in Memphis, TN to the late William D. Vernon, Sr. and Doris McCollum Vernon. He was a self-employed painter that loved to go fishing and cookout in his spare time. A friend to many, Terry will be in their memories and stories for years to come. When speaking to his family, they recollected, "a brother is a gift", and fought hard for life.Those family members that will cherish his memory and stories include his sister, Chris Vernon Maglior and husband, Chris, of Hernando, MS; brother, Donnie Vernon of Harmontwon, MS, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
