Wesley Ming Bullard was born December 26, 1991, and passed away Thursday February 19, 2026, at his home in Pope, Mississippi.
Services to celebrate Ming's life will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 23, 2026, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. A time of visitation will be held Sunday evening, February 22, 2026, at Wells Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
Ming attended North Delta School and South Panola Schools. He enjoyed his “Yocona Bottom” farm life and profession at Bullard Farms to the fullest.
His interest in the Mississippi outdoors was his passion and his interests included: deer and duck hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved to share his secret Yocona River Oasis with his many friends. No matter if his Mississippi State Bulldogs won or lost, he was an avid supporter. His early interest in Nascar started when he was ten years old and met driver Jeff Gordon, and he became his all-time favorite. Ming said he “almost fainted” when he was able to ask Gordon a question at a Nascar meet and great.
Ming was a member of Pope Methodist Church. He was named honorary “Pope Mayor” by a host of friends. Ming loved a party and his true joy was to entertain his many friends with a cookout at his home or at his annual dove hunt. Ming loved life and lived it to the fullest. He strived to make sure everyone in his presence loved life, too.
Ming is survived by his parents Rickey and Carol Bullard of Pope, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James Hal and Mildred Moore; paternal grandparents J.C. (Junior) and Lillie Mae Bullard; aunts Margaret Moore Acosta and Amy Bullard Wilkins.
For memorials, the Bullard Family has chosen the Plant-A-Tree Project (Plant A Tree). You may make your check to The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc. (GCM) and mail to GCM Treasurer Celia Williamson, 37 Bethany Church Road, Merigold, MS 38759. GCM will distribute all funds to the USDA Forest Service.
For those not familiar with the Plant-A-Tree Project, it is a conservation project partnership between National Garden Clubs, Inc. and the USDA Forestry Service to plant trees across the National Forest System where reforestation is needed most. Donations will be designated to be planted in the six national forests of Mississippi.
