William "Bill" L. Dees

William "Bill" L. Dees, age 85, passed away early Thursday morning, February 3, 2022 at the Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS. 

A graveside service for William will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis, MS. 

Bill was born on January 31, 1937 to the late Edward and Myrtis Tidwell Dees in Batesville, MS. He obtained his master's degree from the University of Mississippi and worked as an administrator at Tulane for 19 years. He also was an administrator at Northwest Community College. Bill was a member of the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church. His wit and fun-loving heart will be deeply missed by his friends in the Sardis, Como, and Batesville community.

The family he leaves behind includes his aunt, Louvene Linder and several cousins. He is also survived by his best friend, Luis Castillo.
