Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Beaver officiating. Interment to follow at Brazil Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00am-2:00pm Monday, March 21, 2011 prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Melton was born May 22, 1951 in Darling, MS to the late Grady and Mary Ella Goodnight Moore. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Melton; and sister, Marie Winters. Survivors include daughter, Anita Hollingsworth of Batesville, MS; 3 sons, Stanley Melton, Jr. of Batesville, MS; David Melton of Hernando, MS; Billy Joe Melton of Batesville, MS; 8 sisters, Frances Russell of Cleveland, MS; Christine Sellers of Lambert, MS; Louise Smith of Courtland, MS; Jean Golden of Grenada, MS; Linda Schiefer of Clinton, MS; Margaret Beaver of Locke Station, MS; Bonnie Beaver of Crenshaw, MS; Nancy Carpenter of Merigold, MS; 4 brothers, Grady Moore of Hernando, MS; Jimmy Moore of Marks, MS; Eugene Moore of Decatur, AL; Zeke Moore of Cashier, NC; mother-in-law, Audrey Melton of Batesville, MS; and 13 Grandchildren.
